Every month, we see several 5G phone launches in India and May 2024 won’t be any different. Some of the brands have already confirmed the names of the upcoming phones along with their launch dates. The iQOO Z9x and Motorola Edge 50 Fusion are set to arrive on May 16, whereas the Realme GT 6T will launch on May 22. The Poco F6 is also rumoured to make it to the Indian market on May 23. iQOO Z9x launch on May 16

The company could decide to launch the Chinese version of the iQOO Z9x in India. This device has a 6.72-inch 120Hz LCD screen and a 50-megapixel AI-powered dual rear camera system. It runs on Android 14-based OriginOS 4, powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, with configurations offering up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS2.2 storage. It is backed by a massive 6,000mAh battery, supporting 44W fast charging.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion launch on May 16

If leaks are to be believed, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion could have a curved 6.7-inch pOLED display. Under the hood, the Moto phone is rumoured to pack a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The dual rear camera setup could include a 50-megapixel primary sensor, complemented by a 13-megapixel secondary shooter. For selfies, you can expect to see a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, as per the leaks.

Beyond its imaging prowess, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is tipped to feature a sizable 5,000mAh battery. The device is also rumoured to come with support for 68W wired fast charging. The company will likely bundle a charger in the retail box because it hasn’t yet stopped offering one with its devices. Furthermore, Motorola is also expected to offer support for the IP68 rating, making the device water and dust-resistant.

Realme GT 6T launch on May 22

The Realme GT 6T is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, accompanied by a 5,500mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging capability. It may feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE S1 8T LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The device could come with an LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage solution, and an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance. Imaging capabilities could include a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor at the back, and a 32-megapixel front camera.

Poco F6 launch on May 23

The Poco F6 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz 1.5K OLED display, a 20-megapixel front camera, and a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup. It’s rumoured to come with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 90W fast charging. Additionally, it could sport LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and an AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
