5G prices up for Reliance Jio subscribers as the company increases the minimum price of ‘unlimited 5G plans’; here … – The Times of India

Reliance Jio has revised its mobile tariff plans. With these new plans, the pricing of the unlimited 5G data with postpaid plans as well as pre-paid plans too has gone up. This means that as per the revised pricing, Jio users will now have to pay more for unlimited 5G data.
Unlimited 5G data now costs Rs 110 more
As per the changes, the unlimited 5G data benefits will be available with all prepaid plans that offer 2GB or more data per day.This means that 1.5GB per day data plans no longer offer unlimited 5G data.
Reliance Jio previously offered unlimited 5G data with plans starting at Rs 239 with 1.5GB daily data.
After the revised plan, the cheapest prepaid plan with 2GB per day data starts at Rs 349 which means that users will have to at least get this plan to avail unlimited 5G data benefits.

Reliance Jio plans that come with unlimited 5G data

Reliance Jio 5G upgrade plan
Reliance Jio offers Rs 61 “5G Upgrade” plan that includes 6GB of regular 4G data along with unlimited 5G data for prepaid plans that costs less than Rs 239 (before the price hike).
Presently, the plan mentions Rs 149, Rs 179, Rs 199 and Rs 209 as supported prepaid plans.
Reliance Jio hasn’t provided any update on this plan whether this plan will work with other plans starting July 3 or not.
Airtel unlimited 5G plans
Airtel also offers unlimited 5G data with its prepaid and postpaid plans. The company’s unlimited 5G data prepaid plans start at Rs 239.
The company states on its support page: “All Airtel Prepaid customers who recharge with Unlimited packs starting from Rs239 and above are eligible to claim and experience unlimited 5G Data. To enjoy continued benefits, customers need to recharge with an eligible pack. Please note prepaid packs Rs 455 and Rs 1799 are not eligible for getting Unlimited 5G Data benefits”.
