A Look At Future Technologies, the DoD and Private 5G Innovations Benefitting IoT – IoT Evolution World

This quote from Cappiello specifically references Future Technologies’ success in securing more than $30 million in Private 5G-related projects with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) over the past year.

Let’s talk about it.

The DoD invests in “the top Private 5G networks” to ensure the delivery of secure, reliable connectivity for what Robert Justice, Director of Special Projects, calls “the modern battlefield.” Enhancing operational continuity and advanced security is a no-two-ways-about-it must in present day, especially when handling sensitive communications and supporting real-time analytics and autonomous systems used for military-grade AR/VR, drone surveillance, and more. By making Private 5G scalability and flexibility a priority of the utmost, the DoD can more adeptly adjust to operational demands, reduce dependency on public infrastructure, and further bolster its already-resilient national security measures.

In this vein, Future Technologies has that aforementioned 15 years of partnership experience with the DoD; from deploying private cellular networks beginning with 2G (i.e. to augment Land Mobile Radio, or LMR, systems) all the way to 3G/4G for voice and data networks, and now 5G for even more sophisticated mission-critical applications.

Further Private 5G solutions from Future Technologies have also included:

  • Prototype Lab Systems – lab systems designed to support evolving requirements for functional systems; includes the development and integration of next-gen use cases in AR/VR and drones, as described above
