iQOO, over the years, has created a name for itself in the smartphone market and has often received praises for its products. Reports of the company gearing up to launch its next smartphone, the iQOO Z9 Lite 5G have been doing rounds on the internet from quite some time. It was also reported that this would be the brand’s first entry-level smartphone in India. And now, the company has officially confirmed the India launch date of the phone.

In a social media post, iQOO CEO Nipun Marya wrote, “Taking it slow? – no more! A #FullyLoaded5G experience awaits you! #iQOOZ9Lite” He also shared a teaser photo, which showcased the phone in a blue colour with a pattern. The phone, in the teaser, could be seen sporting two rear cameras stacked in a parallel pattern. The phone will be arriving in India on July 15, which is less than 15 days away. The exact timing of launch and other details will be confirmed as we get closer to the date.
The iQOO Z9 Lite is expected to be a more affordable variant of the standard iQOO Z9, signalling the brand’s move to cater to budget-conscious consumers. The device is expected to be available in brown and blue, with its initial launch targeting the Indian market.
While iQOO has kept specific details under wraps, industry insiders had earlier said that the Z9 Lite might be a rebranded version of Vivo’s T3 Lite. If these rumours hold true, the iQOO Z9 Lite will likely feature similar specifications to the Vivo T3 Lite, which is touted as Vivo’s most affordable 5G smartphone.
Considering the pricing strategy of iQOO’s current lineup, which includes the Z9 and Z9x models priced under Rs 20,000, the Z9 Lite is expected to be even more budget-friendly. Speculations indicate a price point around Rs 12,000 or possibly lower, positioning it as a competitive option in the entry-level 5G smartphone market. However, these are just estimates, and the official pricing will be revealed at launch.
If the iQOO Z9 Lite does mirror the Vivo T3 Lite, we can expect it to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, a popular choice in affordable 5G phones like the Realme Narzo N65 and C65. Additionally, the Z9 Lite is rumoured to feature a 50-megapixel Sony AI camera paired with a secondary sensor, promising decent photography capabilities for its price range.
However, all these details are mere speculations and we must wait for the official launch of the phone to find out more about its specs and features.
