iQOO is set to launch its latest smartphone, the iQOO Z9X 5G, in India, tomorrow, that is May 16. The smartphone succeeds the iQOO Z9 5G that was launched earlier this year. Anticipation around the iQOO Z9X 5G is high as teasers and leaks have been circulating before the launch. One highlight is its hefty 6,000mAh battery supported by 44W FlashCharge technology, promising a 10-hour battery life with just a 30-minute charge.

Ahead of the event, the company has also confirmed that the iQOO Z9X 5G will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset.

In terms of design, iQOO continues its focus on aesthetics, following the trend seen in its recent phone models. Take the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G, for instance; it was impressively slim, housing a battery of over 5,000mAh within a sleek 8.34mm frame. Now, with the Z9X 5G, iQOO is pushing the boundaries further. The company confirms the device will measure 7.99mm thick, a remarkable feat considering its sizable 6,000mAh battery. It’s an intriguing combination worth observing.

Leaked images of the iQOO Z9X 5G reveal a dual-camera setup at the back, maintaining the design language of the previous Z9 5G model. However, subtle enhancements, such as matching the camera module’s colour to the phone, indicate a refined approach to design.

Regarding availability, the iQOO Z9X 5G is anticipated to be exclusively sold through Amazon India.

iQOO Z9X 5G: Expected India price

While the Indian pricing for the iQOO Z9x remains undisclosed, it’s speculated to hover around Rs 15,000. In its home market of China, the phone debuted with a starting price of CNY 1,149 (approximately Rs 13,500) for the 8GB+128GB variant. Meanwhile, the 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB versions were priced at CNY 1,249 (about Rs 14,700) and CNY 1,449 (around Rs 16,700), respectively. Upon its Indian release, the iQOO Z9x will be available in Storm Grey and Tornado Green colour options, catering to the preferences of Indian consumers.
