Reliance Jio’s True Unlimited Upgrade plans bring unlimited 5G to these prepaid plans – The Times of India
Reliance Jio has announced the tariff price hike across its portfolio including prepaid, postpaid and data add-ons. As a part of it, the company has also started revising several other prepaid plans, including the “5G Upgrade” plan.
After the revision, the plans are now called “True Unlimited Upgrade plans” and it include a total of three plans priced starting at Rs 51.
Earlier, Jio used to offer only one — Rs 61 — a plan that offered unlimited 5G data to plans that cost less than Rs 239.
Jio True Unlimited Upgrade plan: Plans, benefits and more
Reliance Jio True Unlimited Upgrade plans include Rs 51, Rs 101 and Rs 151. The common denominator between the three plans is that they all come with unlimited 5G data. Apart from this, all three plans do not have their validity. The validity of these plans depends on the validity of the active plan.
So, what is the difference between the three plans? Well, they all come with extra 4G data. This means the plans will bring an additional 4G data. The Rs 51 plan includes 3GB of 4G data. The Rs 101 plan includes 6GB of 4G data and the Rs 151 plan offers 9GB of 4G data.
Who are these new plans for
Well, practically anyone can recharge their Jio number with these plans. Reliance Jio hasn’t detailed anything specifically on the listing page. However, considering all the plans with 2GB or more data offer unlimited 5G data, these new plans are aimed at plans with less than 1.5GB daily data.
If you are unaware before the price hike, Jio used to offer unlimited 5G data with plans starting at Rs 239. Earlier, plans with 1.5GB per day data used to include unlimited 5G data. However, after the price hike, users will only get unlimited 5G data with plans that offer 2GB per day or more data.
