We are in the second week of July, and there’s a lot of buzz in the smartphone market. While Samsung unveiled its latest flagship foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, the affordable 5G segment also had some new additions by CMF, Xiaomi, TECNO, and Lava.

Here’s a look at all the launches from the tech world this week:

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6

Korean tech giant Samsung unveiled its all-new Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 at its Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris. The Galaxy Z Fold6 is the slimmest and lightest Z Fold device at 239 grams. It features a 7.6-inch Infinity Flex Display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate inside and a 6.3-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display outside. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip6 retains its design and display from last year.

It has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate inside and a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow outside. The Galaxy Z Fold6 has a starting price of ₹1,64,999 and comes in Silver Shadow, Pink and Navy. The Galaxy Z Flip6 has a price tag starting at ₹1,09,999 for the base model (12GB+256GB). It is available in Silver Shadow, Yellow, Blue and Mint colour options.

CMF by Nothing Phone 1

The sub-brand of the London-based technology company Nothing, CMF, announced the release of the CMF Phone 1. It features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G processor with up to 16GB RAM using RAM Booster, as well as a 5,000 mAh battery that can last up to two days. The smartphone has a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 2,000 nit peak brightness. It also features a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main Sony sensor and the selfie camera on the front is 16MP. The CMF Phone 1 is priced at ₹15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model and ₹17,999 for 8GB + 128GB.

Redmi 13 5G

Xiaomi has introduced a popular model from the Redmi line-up, Redmi 13 5G. Priced at ₹13,999, it is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE (Accelerated Edition) processor. The new phone features a 6.79-inch FHD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also boasts a powerful 108MP main camera, complemented by a 2MP macro camera. The phone comes in three vibrant colours: Hawaiian Blue, Orchid Pink, and Black Diamond.

TECNO SPARK 20 Pro 5G

TECNO launched the latest in its popular SPARK series, the TECNO SPARK 20 Pro 5G. It features 16GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage and has a 6.78-inch FHD+ 120 Hz display with 500 nits of peak brightness. The SPARK 20 Pro 5G has a 108MP Ultra Sensing Main Camera with 3X lossless in-sensor zoom on a triple-camera setup. The selfie camera on the front is 8MP. The 5G phone is priced at ₹15,999 for the 8GB+128GB model and ₹16,999 for the 8GB+256GB model.

Lava Blaze X

Lava, the homegrown smartphone brand, revealed the latest addition to its Blaze series — the Lava Blaze X. The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 and comes in three RAM configurations — 4GB+4GB, 6GB+6GB, and 8GB+8GB — with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It features a 6.67-inch 120 Hz curved AMOLED display with 800 nits of peak brightness. Priced at ₹14,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant, the phone comes in Starlight Purple and Titanium Grey colour options.
