Huawei and MTN South Africa have recently inked strategic cooperation on Net5.5G technology. Both parties signed the MoU during the IP Day Summit on June 6. They also talked about new strategies that can boost the network facilities in the region.
The Chinese phone maker has themed the event on ‘Net5.5G Network Development’. Huawei and MTN shared their thoughts on innovative and useful techs, business expansion, and global network infrastructure that can help South African users.
MTN refers to mobile telephone network. It is the second-largest network operator in South Africa and is known for its excellent network services and products.
Huawei and MTN have joined forces several times for the welfare of the South African consumers. Both companies look forward to digitalization as well as rich network facilities that can enhance the user experience and economic growth of the region.
5.5G Network Cooperation
In the recently-held summit, Huawei and MTN have once again signed a strategic cooperation on Net5.5G technology. As per the agreement, both firms will indulge in 5.5G network tech deployment in South Africa via mobiles, enterprises, and broadband services alongside promoting some vital facilities like 400GE, SRv6, Network digital map, and more.

MTN strongly believes that innovation plays a crucial role in the network. The company has been working for stable network infrastructures for a long time. Use of SRv6 and Network Digital Map was helpful in the IP transport network development.
Zoltan Miklos – the General Manager of Access Planning and Architecture at MTN says that while security, reliability, and network operations are still challenging, health cooperation with Huawei could help the firm to move towards success.
Huawei IP Marketing and Solution Sales Department’s President – Feng Su states that Huawei has made long-term investments in network tools and products.
